Introduction

This privacy policy is applicable to the Azallea mobile application (referred to as “Azallea” or the “Azallea App”) and to the azallea.app website that are developed by Lambda Calculus Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “we” or “us”) as a a Freemium service. This service is provided “AS IS”.

Your data always belongs to you, and only you. We are committed to providing services that respect your privacy and operating our business in a manner that protects and manages your data responsibly and transparently. We believe respecting and protecting your privacy is an ethical thing to do — people have a fundamental right to the utmost privacy, even from companies and products they trust. This Policy sets forth our commitments with regard to your privacy. It is important that you read this Policy because by using the Application, you consent to the privacy practices described in this Policy.

We are committed to complying with GDPR, CCPA, PECR and other privacy regulations.

What types of data does the Application process, and how is it used?

The Application processes three types of data:

  • Account data: To manage your in-app subscriptions purchased through Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play Store), we need certain information, that is obtained through Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple and includes personal data such as your name, date of birth, and email address. This data is used solely for the purpose of implementing and verifying your subscription status, providing access to subscribed content or features, and managing the subscription lifecycle (such as renewals and cancellations) through the respective platform’s billing services.
  • Usage data: In order to provide our services and technically improve performance, we process how you interact with our products using different data points. Such data includes device data, which informs us about the device you use to access our app services (such as device model, name and identifiers, application identifier, crash information). Other usage data includes the IP address provided by your browser or mobile device, which we collect in order to deliver the service to your device. We also use the IP address to determine your approximate location for statistical and analytics purposes, and for regulatory compliance in different countries. We do not collect your precise location.
  • Health data: In order to provide its service as a health app, the Application processes health data and other sensitive data that you choose to track in the Application. Such health data may include your menstrual cycle information (e.g. period length, pain, or spotting), and depending on the data you provide, it may also contain other sensitive data about your experiences (e.g. weight, body temperature, sexual intercourse). The health data is processed directly on your device by the Application and never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to our servers, nor is it shared with any third parties by our application. You have full control over this data on your device.

Does the Application collect precise real time location information of the device?

This Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device. This Application collects your device’s location, which helps the Service Provider determine your approximate geographical location and make use of in below ways:

  • Geolocation Services: The Service Provider utilizes location data to provide features such as personalized content, relevant recommendations, and location-based services.
  • Analytics and Improvements: Aggregated and anonymized location data helps the Service Provider to analyze user behavior, identify trends, and improve the overall performance and functionality of the Application.
  • Third-Party Services: Periodically, the Service Provider may transmit anonymized location data to external services. These services assist them in enhancing the Application and optimizing their offerings.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement. Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. Social logins

Sign in with Apple: Azallea uses Sign in with Apple to allow users to create and sign in to their Azallea account with their Apple credentials. If you sign up to Azallea using Apple, Azallea will exchange certain data with Apple like device data, IP-address, and information you provided to Apple when creating an account with Apple Inc. This may include a transfer of your personal data to Apple servers located outside the European Union. It is your choice if and to what extent you use the Sign in with Apple service and what information you provide to Apple. Absolutely no health data will be exchanged with Apple for the purpose of using the Sign in with Apple service.

Sign in with Google: Azallea uses Sign in with Google to allow users to create and sign in their Azallea account with their Google credentials. If you use this service, you authorize us to collect your basic information from Google, like your email address. You can manage this any time in your Google account. Please see Google’s resources for more details on this. If you sign up to Azallea using Google, Azallea will exchange with Google the types of data you provided to Google when creating an account with them (such as name, email address). This may include a transfer of your personal data to Google servers located outside the European Union. It is your choice if and to what extent you use the Sign in with Google service and what information you provide to Google. Absolutely no health data will be exchanged with Google.

We may disclose Account and Usage data:

  • as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
  • when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
  • with our trusted services providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.

What are my opt-out rights?

You can halt all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information

We will retain Account data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. We will retain Usage data for up to 24 months and thereafter may be stored in aggregate. If you’d like us to delete the data that you have provided via the Application, please get in touch with us at hello@azallea.app and we will respond in a reasonable time. Please note that some or all of the data may be required in order for the Application to function properly.

Children

We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 16.

If you are located in the EU, you can only use our services if you are over the relevant age at which you can provide explicit consent to the processing of your data under the laws of your country (e.g if you are at least 16 years old in Germany), or if you have the consent of your parent or legal guardian.

If you are located in the United States, you cannot use the Application if you are under 13 years old. If the Application gains actual knowledge that information has been collected from children under the age of 13 in the United States contrary to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 and the regulation thereunder, the Application will not disclose this data and reserves the right to immediately delete the account and wipe all related information, including health and sensitive data of the user, from our servers.

Data security

Protecting your data privacy is at the core of what we do. We apply security measures to protect against misuse, loss, and/or alteration of personal information under our control. We follow industry standards when transferring and storing your data. Though we cannot ensure or guarantee that misuse, loss or alteration of information will never occur, we use all reasonable efforts to prevent it.

As a visitor to the azallea.app website

The privacy of our website visitors is important to us — so we do not track any individual people.

As a visitor to the azallea.app website:

  • No personal information is collected;
  • No information such as cookies is stored in your web browser;
  • No information is shared with, sent to or sold to third-parties;
  • No information is shared with advertising companies;
  • No information is mined and harvested for personal and behavioral trends;
  • No information is monetized.

We use Plausible Analytics to collect basic visitor information such as - a region of origin, and type of device for diagnostic purposes. Plausible Analytics is open-source and fully GDPR, CCPA, and PECR compliant , and their servers are based in the EU. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may change this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will notify you by changing the “Last updated” date at the top of the Policy, which is available through the App. Any such changes will automatically apply to all uses of the App on or after that date (until such time as the Policy is subsequently revised). You should consult this Policy regularly for any changes because continued use of the App following the Policy update indicates your agreement with such changes.
